We go to be witnesses.
At Namesake Street Outreach, the most important thing we do is share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We go downtown to bring food, coffee, clothing, prayer, and practical support — but those things are not the final goal. They are a bridge.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…"
The food is a bridge. The coffee is a bridge. The clothing is a bridge. The conversations are a bridge.
They create opportunities for seeds to be planted, for people to feel seen, for hearts to be softened, and for the hope of Jesus Christ to be shared.
We do not go out only to meet physical needs. We go out to point people to the only One who can truly save, heal, restore, and bring lasting hope. Jesus has changed our lives, and we believe He can change theirs too.
That is why we go. We go to be witnesses for Jesus Christ. We go to love, serve, pray, listen, feed, clothe, and share the hope that only comes from Him.
Show up with us.
Sunday Outreach
We serve downtown at 2:00 PM near the Drop-In Centre. Before heading over, we meet at the corner of 4th and 8th, directly across from Tim Hortons and the Bell Studio Music Hall. A pinpoint location will be shared so everyone knows exactly where to meet.
Clothing Sorting
At 6:30 PM, we meet to separate and organize clothing donations so they are ready to be handed out during outreach. Location: 10615 48 Street SE, Unit 122
Food Prep
The Saturday before each Sunday outreach, we gather to prepare food for those we will serve downtown. It is a time to prepare with excellence, organization, and love — every meal is another opportunity to build a bridge for the gospel.
Bible Study
Bible Study takes place at Namesake Tattoo & Piercing. Location: 320 55 Avenue SW This is a time to grow together in the Word, be strengthened in faith, and be equipped to go back out and serve as witnesses for Jesus.
Sandwich Outreach
We go out to hand out sandwiches, pray with people, and share the love and hope of Jesus Christ. These outreaches are another opportunity to meet people where they are, build relationships, and plant seeds of faith through simple acts of love.

Bring your congregation into the field. We'll onboard your team and integrate you into the rotation.

Every donation, every volunteer hour, every prayer, and every act of love helps us continue showing up for those who need it most.
Clothing & essential items
We accept donations all year long, every day. Clothing, blankets, shoes, summer gear, winter gear, hygiene items — anything you're willing to spare. Used items are welcome as long as they're clean and in usable condition.
Food donations
We're always looking for freezer-friendly and non-perishable food to help feed those experiencing homelessness each week.
