For over a year, I had been watching the work they were doing from a city away while I was still trapped in a 25-year meth addiction and living in a cycle of abuse, trauma, and brokenness. When my situation became life-threatening, I took my dog and fled for my life. That was the first step of obedience toward a God I thought had left me, even though I had been living backslidden for 10 years.
